My Story
Let me begin my saying I love Scentsy! My Scentsy story began in 2009 when Scentsy first came to Canada. A lady I worked with came to work with these Scentsy samples that I first thought were lip chap! I fell in love immediately with the smells Scentsy had; so many reminded me of home which was what I needed because I had just moved away for University and was searching for something that felt familiar as I transitioned to a new time in my life. Being a student living in residence, Scentsy was perfect! No flame meant I could have it in dorm room which made me happy because I was that candle-obsessed obsessed lady. I LOVE fragrance. The issue here? I was a broke student. The solution? I hosted a Scentsy basket party so I could use this safe fragrant alternative without my bank account feeling the damage. I shared the testers with my friends, and then drove the same testers the four hours home so my family could smell the goods. It turns out they also loved Scentsy too because from that Scentsy party alone, I earned four 1/2 price items and over $90 in free product. I stocked up and there began my serious Scentsy obsession. The following year, I did the exact same thing. My Scentsy stash was running low so I hosted another Scentsy party. Again, I had huge success. EVERYONE loved this Scentsy stuff. Shortly after that in 2011, I started my Scentsy journey as a consultant. I figured I was putting a fair bit of money into my Scentsy stash because it was a product I loved and trusted, so I figured I may as well save 25% on the products I knew I was going to buy anyway. My hubby always says, "she's Scentsy and she knows it." Since joining Scentsy five years ago, I've earned five, all expense-paid-vacations to New York, Bahamas, Mexico, the Caribbean, and, most recently, Nashville. On our first trip in New York, we were on a Scentsy cruise excursion underneath the Statue of Liberty and the fireworks went off just for us- I felt like I was on a date from The Bachelorette, but it turns out, we get 'Scentsy spoiled' every time we travel with them! We vowed, in that moment, to never to miss another Scentsy incentive trip. Currently, we are working toward earning an African Safari or a trip to the Dominican Republic- I'm elated about either vacation because I know Scentsy will do it right! Aside from incentive trips, Scentsy has allowed me to visit Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Vegas for our our annual Scentsy family reunion which is full of world-class training, friendship, inspiration and emotion! Jon and I would have never been able to travel to these destinations in the same Scentsy fashion, if I had never joined Scentsy to get discounted product. Although travel is a huge incentive in my Scentsy business, there are so many other reasons I am happy to be known as the Scentsy lady! I get to meet and train with inspiring men and women who all want the same thing- the freedom to live the dream life they imagine in their minds. Whether people want financial freedom, flexibility, friendship- Scentsy has us covered. With my paycheque, confidence and training from Scentsy, I am able to live the life I dream up! It works perfectly alongside my teaching job as both jobs require the same leadership, passion and motive - warm the heart, inspire the senses, and enliven the heart. So why Scentsy? My "why" includes the community and sense of accomplishment that I get from my Scentsy family. I constantly am emotionally overwhelmed with this company. They have done so much for me. It's truly a blessing. my why includes my hubby, my sense of worth, and my friends and family.
